Privacy

This covers suvamsahoo.com and lab.suvamsahoo.com. There are no accounts and no forms. I don’t collect anything myself. Two Google services do, and they are described below.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. It records things like the page, the referring site, your device and browser, and a rough location. It sets cookies (names starting _ga) to tell a returning visit from a new one. I see totals, not people.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense, which can show ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.

Stored in your browser

The light/dark choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, so it sticks next time. The cat remembers that it has already said hi for this visit. Neither is a cookie, and neither leaves your device.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. The site still works.
• Install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Use the Ads Settings link above to turn off personalised ads.
